40 YEAR CLASS REUNION WEBSITE
Norland’s 40 year class reunion for the class of 69 invites the 10 years before and the 10 years after our graduating year to come and join us as we celebrate two decades of Norland’s graduating classes reunion in 2009.
Since this year is also the 40 year anniversary of Woodstock, we decided to combine our class reunions with a 4 day pop festival and to also invite the public to this event. The class of 69 and the decade before and after us will have front and center seating at this musical festival extravaganza.
This unique and unusual hybrid event promises to be The Most Classic Class Reunion in History! Our initial idea is to hold this event on the Seminole Indian Reservation in the Everglades where these kinds of events are held.
The invitation to the public is done by telling everyone who wants to come to bring their high school colors, banners or flags – stake out their territory at the festival - and have their own class reunion as they join us at this event.
At this early stage in the planning we are putting up a website for anyone who wants to receive our weekly reunion updates to keep you informed as the festival progresses (www.NorlandClassReunion.com).
We are also looking for anyone who wants to be part of the “Organizing Committee” for this event and to let us know by emailing us at the website.
So spread the word far and wide – contact all your old school mates and let them know about this event – those from Norland - and those from any graduating class from any high school anywhere in the world.
With the strength of the 40 year reunion of Woodstock we expect between 100,000 to 500,000 to attend – sort of like a Woodstock South or Woodstock in the Everglades Norland Class Reunion.
It can be your one year class reunion or your sixtieth year class reunion – we invite you all to join in our celebration and the celebration of Woodstock and the 60’s generation. So for everyone who missed Woodstock and missed the 60’s this pop festival collective class reunion will give you a taste of history.
THE “REGULAR REUNION” FOR NORLAND’S CLASS OF 1969
In the event that the above ambitious “Collective Class Reunion Musical Festival and Fair” now scheduled for early November of 2009 doesn’t come together in the way we envision (though we believe it will) we are also planning a more traditional or “Regular Reunion” just for Norland’s class of 69 to ensure we in fact do have a 40th year reunion.
As of now this reunion as the one above needs an “Organizing Committee” to help put it together, organize it and plan exactly what our “Regular Reunion” will be. Anyone interested in being part of either “Organizing Committee” can email us from the email link at the bottom of this page.
We’d also like to hear your suggestions on what you’d like to see done with our “Regular Reunion” and any ideas you may have like keeping it to just our class or combining 5 graduating classes as was done with our last reunion.
Lastly, we ask everyone to help us spread the word (even if you aren’t planning to attend) as it is impossible to get in touch with everyone without each of us helping out. Most people are in touch with one or two of our high school classmates, who in turn are in touch with another one or two different high school classmates. So if everyone sends an email to the classmates you are in touch with, and they do the same, we will be able to reach everyone.
